Meet the Trainers

 Jason Wolfe – Owner and Trainer 

Jason Wolfe is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He received his Bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University in 2008 before completing his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University in 2011. Jason has experience working with both athletes and the general population. Throughout Jason’s academic career at Georgia Southern he volunteered much of his time in the GSU varsity weight room gaining experience training all of the various sport teams and their athletes. He has over 8 years experience as a personal trainer and has served many valuable Statesboro community members that have seen remarkable changes in their physiques and healthy living lifestyles.

Keagan Kiely – Trainer

Keagan Kiely received his master’s degree in Exercise Science at Georgia Southern University in 2016. He has experience researching supplementation, resistance training, and body composition. Keagan has collaborated on published abstract works and papers on supplementation and resistance training practices and has written articles for He is a certified sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Keagan has several years of personal training experience in various training environments. He has worked with everyone from children to elderly adults, as well as working with professional athletes.

Rick Spurgeon – Trainer

Rick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He began his fitness journey helping his father, a football and track/field coach, as a curious first grader. Rick began his fitness professional journey when he obtained his Personal Trainer certification through the American Council of Exercise in 2010. He graduated from Georgia Southern with a degree in Political Science and minor in Exercise Science. He has since worked in a variety of settings from a small family-owned gymnastics gym, a CrossFit Box and in corporate gym setting. He uses his many different experiences to make a tailored program to most efficiently help you accomplish your goals.  He has experience working with college and high school athletes, as well as special needs clients.


Laura Brannen – Trainer 

Laura Brannen Received her BS in Chemistry from GSU in 2010.  She ran track and cross country for the Eagles from 2006-2010.  After college Laura pursued her love for fitness by becoming certified as a Crossfit instructor in 2013 and coached for 3 years.  Laura qualified for the Crossfit Regionals in 2014 and 2015.  She also has a Crossfit Weightlifting Certification.  Laura has many years of experience training and competing at all levels and working with people of all skill types and ages, in both group and individual settings.


David Griffin – Trainer

David is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He received his Masters Degree in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern in 2017. During his academic career he collaborated on several research publications and conference abstracts, while also spending time in GSU’s varsity weight room as a coach. During this time he gained experience in working with all of the different sports teams at GSU.  In addition to this he has experience working with a variety of clients of different ages, fitness and skill levels.  For his own training he enjoys training for and competing in power lifting.

Abbie Blackmon

Abbie Blackmon is certified through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America.  A gymnast from an early age, Abbie has always been active.  She enjoyed playing basketball, running track, and cheerleading in high school, and then served as captain for three of her four years on the Georgia Southern University All-Girl Cheerleading Squad.   She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Public Relations from Georgia Southern in 2003.   She has taught group fitness classes and trained small personalized groups since that time.  
Abbie is the mother of two boys and enjoys helping all types of people find time to meet their fitness goals.  She has worked with a variety of clients from private cheer coaching to improving mobility for senior citizens.   She believes in not only the body transforming qualities of exercise but also the stress relieving aspects as well.

Austin Lewis – Trainer

Austin is certified through the American Aerobic Association International, as well as the International Sport Medicine Association as a Personal Trainer and Georgia Coach certified through the ASEP coaching education program to coach High School Athletics.
Austin played one year of football at Point University before transferring to Georgia Southern, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Major concentration in Coaching.  Austin pursued weight and speed training after giving up football as a means to stay in shape.  He enjoys working with a variety of clients from athletes to weekend warriors and helping them stay in shape and reach their goals.

Krystopher Thompson – Trainer

Krystopher is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He originally began his fitness journey in middle school while training in a garage gym and his passion for health and fitness has been growing ever since. Recently graduating from Georgia Southern University in Spring of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, he has worked at the Recreational Activity Center (RAC) for over 2 years as a Personal Trainer. He has trained individuals in large group settings, one-on- one, as well as experience working as a student assistant for the GSU Football Strength and Conditioning Head Coach.  He is knowledgeable in a variety of training practices and methods including Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, basic gymnastics, movement & mobility.

Jon Pallitto

Jon Pallitto is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. Throughout his childhood and high school years, he participated in a variety of different sports, including soccer, gymnastics and basketball. These activities shaped his passion for training and ultimately led him to begin his fitness journey. Along this journey many experiences have shown Jon that fitness and training can be used as an outlet. He enjoys helping others see that it can make a positive change in their lives, as it has his own. Sharing the knowledge of his practice and helping his clients stay motivated to reach their personal goals, in turn, keeps Jon motivated to continue learning and developing plans that are beneficial for each client.

Brian Olex

NASM CPT, CPR certified
Brian earned his personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He is presently a Sergeant serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and deployed was in the fall of 2015 to Parawan Province, Afghanistan. Brian is currently enrolled in the Exercise Science program at Georgia Southern University as a Junior. Additionally, he worked as a physical therapist aide for close to 2 years where he learned some common rehabilitation exercises. “I believe in health and fitness, they are two things that can’t happen without the other. Making a choice to change your lifestyle is difficult, but, with the right mindset and coaching it will be a breeze. I would love to help you achieve your goals!”
